Career Days expose middle school students to the possibilities of a STEM education through structured, hands-on, and easy-to-implement engagement at a local tech company. After a Career Day, student interest in working in STEM fields increases by over 60%.
For companies, the 3-hour long Career Day provides a fun, light-lift, culture-building, DEI opportunity for staff. STEMatch supports Boston, Pittsfield, and Lowell/Lawrence-area public schools, and will expand to other regions in 2025.
Learning about tech
With a fast-paced and focused agenda, students learn about what companies do to deliver value to customers – and the various jobs in Engineering, Services, Marketing and other departments.
Educational and fun too!
Hands-on activities provide an active learning experience – whether it is coding, designing a manufacturing line, designing a new logo, or learning how to negotiate.
And not just for students!
Career Days are a great culture builder – providing an opportunity for staff to give back, and have impact. Invariably they have even more fun than the students!
