STEMatch receives grant from the Commonwealth of MA to scale COMPETE workforce development program

Massachusetts’ Secretary of Labor & Workforce Development Lauren Jones announced today that STEMatch has received a $1.25m Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Grant from the Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund, to scale its innovative, successful COMPETE workforce development program.

COMPETE brings companies to collaborate with community colleges to ensure that students get the work skills training, mentoring, and paid internships required to qualify for entry-level tech jobs. STEMatch will use the funding the expand the number of students supported and the geographic reach of COMPETE - as well as expanding the tech jobs supported beyond software development, cybersecurity, IT support and Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
