Seminar 3 - Roles, Context, and Mindset for Business Communications

This session provides students with a practical understanding of the context of work in tech jobs. Students learn about the expanse of jobs/responsibilities within the IT support, cybersecurity, electronics/electrical engineering, and software development departments that they hope to join. Going beyond the task-oriented job description, the session reviews typical organization structures and associated stakeholders – both inside and outside of their department. Students explore how to effectively communicate with and satisfy stakeholders, via interactive scenarios.
